Need or Illusion
Life is happening now. That is how we should experience life - at this right moment. Unfortunately, we live a life that does not fit us because we live a life based on illusions, based on somebody else’s life goals and desires, based on outdated beliefs.
We organise our life based on what we need and like, but most of us don't know what we like, nor what we need. We often base our needs or our desires on what is going on in the outside world.
Social media is the current showcase of happiness. Life on the internet is so perfectly beautiful that we tend to "buy" those perfect ideas of happiness which mainly involve things, and more often very expensive things. We strongly believe that is it. These people look so happy, so If I have their lifestyle and purchase what they have purchased, or live where they live and eat where and what they eat I will be happy too - BINGO!
So we start planning and organising our lives based on those needs. We work hard, long and exhausting hours. After all, we have to be focused to achieve the same lifestyle they promote on social media.
We start spending less time with our family and friends, have little time to ourselves, zero time to appreciate and enjoy nature and so on.
The more we work the more material needs we have. Life starts getting tougher and tougher and it seems impossible to reach the same level of happiness as those on social media. You might start thinking that you are a failure or you are not good enough or that the universe is against you, that you have no idea why things don't work for you and you go on and on in this circle and at the same time life is happening and you are not even aware of it. When you blink it is time to go back to the spiritual world.
Unfortunately, this is the reality for most of us. We still believe that to have a good and comfortable life we must have a reasonable amount of money and things. Yes, material things are very important and yes we need them while progressing on Earth, but they should not be our life purpose.
As long as we hold this idea of life we will not find true happiness or inner peace.
Along with this idea, there is also a belief that we know how to identify who is happy by just looking at his or her assets. We live an absurd farce, deceiving others and trying to deceive ourselves.
Fortunately, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. First of all, you need to face yourself. No fears, no judgement - studying is essential.
If you allow me to give you a suggestion, I highly recommend Andre Luiz's collection "Life in The Spiritual World", starting with "Astral City: A Spiritual Journey" or "Nosso Lar". I guarantee you that there is only a way forward when you dedicate yourself to spiritual teachings.
Once you accept there is a bigger life purpose, bigger than this present material world, things start to make much more sense, even when you don't agree with them.
Life was gifted to us for a holy reason. Do not waste this precious time. Live your life according to your real needs. It is time to use our time wisely. It is time to learn about ourselves, to learn about incarnation and reincarnation and most importantly, to use this present moment to put it into practice. That is the real cycle of life and to be happy we must understand how it works.
We must live and practice what we want to offer to the world. Be the model for change and progress. It is within you and it must start with you.
